Refund and Cancellation Policy.

This policy explains when a student or parent/legal guardian may request a refund for a paid Buildemics research mentorship program. It should be read alongside the program description, enrolment confirmation, and any payment-plan terms provided at enrolment.

If a written program-specific agreement sets out a different term, that agreement will apply to the extent permitted by applicable law.

A refund request must be sent in writing and received by Buildemics before the third mentoring session begins. A request received before that point is eligible for a refund calculation under Section 3.

Once the third mentoring session has commenced, student-initiated withdrawals are not eligible for a refund. The cutoff is based on the start of the third session, not on the number of calendar days or weeks since enrolment.

For an eligible request, Buildemics will deduct a one-time USD $100 cancellation charge from the program fees paid and refund the remaining balance, if any. For example, if the full USD $849 program fee has been paid, the refund after the deduction will be USD $749.

Where payment has been made in instalments, the calculation is based on the amount paid toward the program at the time the request is received; any separate instalment obligations are governed by the payment terms accepted at enrolment.

Email info@buildemics.com with the subject line “Refund Request - [Student Name]”. Include:

1. the student's full name;
2. the parent/legal guardian's name if the student is a minor;
3. the program enrolled in; and
4. the payment or enrolment reference if available.

The reason for the request may be included but is not required for the request to be considered under this policy. The written request must reach Buildemics before the deadline in Section 2.

Buildemics will confirm receipt of the request and the refund calculation in writing. An eligible refund will be initiated to the original payment method where practicable.

The time taken for the funds to appear in the account may depend on the payment provider or financial institution.

If Buildemics cancels a program or is unable to provide the service purchased, Buildemics will communicate the available options and provide any refund or other remedy required by the applicable law or the written enrolment terms.

This policy does not limit any consumer right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.
