For parents
What you are actually paying for.
Ten weeks, ten one-on-one sessions, two writing sessions, one paper. Written down before you start, so you know exactly what is included and what is not.
Talk to usThe ledger
Everything included, and everything we will not promise.
What is included
What we do not promise
We would rather be the programme you trust than the one that promised the most.
The ten weeks
From a vague interest to a finished paper.
01
Weeks 1 to 2
Find the question
They read into the field with their mentor and narrow a broad interest into something answerable.
02
Weeks 3 to 4
Design the approach
Methods, data and scope. What would count as an answer, and what would count as being wrong.
03
Weeks 5 to 7
Do the work
The research itself. Analysis, iteration, dead ends, and the parts nobody warns you about.
04
Weeks 8 to 9
Write it up
Drafting the paper with structured feedback from the mentor, across multiple revisions.
05
Week 10
Share it
Final revisions and guidance on where the work could be submitted or presented.
Practical questions
The things parents ask on the first call.
How much time each week?
Roughly three to five hours including the session. Students in exam months can adjust pace with their mentor.
What if they do not know what to research?
That is the normal starting point. The first two weeks exist to turn a vague interest into a real question.
Do they need to code?
For most projects, no. Where a project needs a technical skill we say so upfront, and mentors teach what is needed.
What if the fit is wrong?
Tell us early. We rematch the mentor where the fit is wrong, at no extra cost.
More detail on the FAQ, split into questions from parents and from students.
